Slice 'N Dice

Since we haven't eaten breakfast except for a regular fries and a sundae cone from Mcdonalds, and not to mention we are tired of the usual chicken-spaghetti meals offered by almost all fast food chains around, we've decided to go to SM Megamall and take our lunch there. We rode the MRT and found ourselves heading to Starmall, EDSA instead. Ang init naman kasi maglakad papuntang Megamall. :) Hoping to see something different, we went around the mall and saw this food store by the name of Slice N' Dice.

Thinking it's still close, we asked a crew sitting in one of the chairs if the store is already open and he delightfully said yes and nodded as if silently inviting us to go and eat inside. We went in and ordered what we want. I was quite overwhelmed with the price as they serve steaks with rice-all-you-can for only 99pesos! They have meals good for 2-3 persons and they also have baked mussels which I will try next time as I wanted to eat rice but not chicken. haha..

Well, given its location (in a mall and close to call centers), it's no wonder Slice N' Dice also caters to those looking for a place to drink and stay at after work. They have promos and sells alcoholic beverages and meals that are good as pulutan and for 2-3 persons. For the food, honestly I was disappointed when it was served cold - and I mean even the mushroom soup which tastes good. Not sure if it's just the way they serve it or maybe because we are the first one to arrive in the store and they are not prepared to have a customer just yet. The grilled chicken is also not that hot considering it should be grilled and has a mayo-custard like dressing that tastes fine. My garlic porkloin steak and its gravy tastes good but I think it would taste better if only it was served hot. I heard that they used to have big servings before but what we got is just average and one customer can only request for 1 extra rice - unless that person eats a very tiny portion of the meat and 2 spoons of rice! hehe.. yeah, you're right, I really wanted to emphasize that the food was served cold! I don't want to think that it's the left overs from last night's stock and that they just re-heat it for us.. haha.. Maybe I'll eat here again and check other meals especially the Kang kong stir-fry and of course, baked mussels!!!
