Slice 'N Dice

Since we haven't eaten breakfast except for a regular fries and a sundae cone from Mcdonalds, and not to mention we are tired of the usual chicken-spaghetti meals offered by almost all fast food chains around, we've decided to go to SM Megamall and take our lunch there. We rode the MRT and found ourselves heading to Starmall, EDSA instead. Ang init naman kasi maglakad papuntang Megamall. :) Hoping to see something different, we went around the mall and saw this food store by the name of Slice N' Dice.

Of Full Moon and Scratch Cards

I don't know if it's because of the power of the moon or I'm just really lucky today!

I went to SM Muntinlupa to run some errands when I received a text from a family member(FM). FM asked me if I can go and bet her numbers in the Lottery. I don't know but my "me-time" in the mall makes me feel relaxed and calm and "light". When I approached the outlet, I was shocked to see that it was closed. I thought that maybe because I spend so much time window shopping, I missed the cut-off but I was happy to see the notice/announcement in the counter's window. They have no service (no selling/no draw) today because it was Black Saturday. Normal operations will resume on Monday. I still walked around the outlet when suddenly a scratch card caught my attention - Ticket #73 is like calling me and it succeeded. I thought that it has been a long time since I played one and it will not hurt me if I give in to the temptation. So I asked for that card and another card and the girl from the outlet gave it to me. I was feeling lucky and while I was scratching it a sun symbol (which means that I won0 have appeared.. As I was scratching - 1 sun symbol with 20php as a prize appeared, then as I continue, another sun symbol, then another one, then another one, and another one.. all with 20php as a prize.. and so I won 100php! :)

*Infair, I know I should have bought only 1 card but the "gambler" in me insisted of buying 2 more cards that didn't win - but on the positive side, I am 40php richer! Yay! :) I went home and bought a 1.3L gallon of ice cream as pasalubong. Still have to wake up early tom as we are going to my relatives in Novaliches to celebrate their town fiesta.

What's with Magnum?

I still think the Magnum Ice Cream is expensive and overpriced that's why I never waste my time and money on buying it. But today is an exception! Our boss bought each one of us the said ice cream and I got the flavor which everyone was saying is the best among the 3 flavors - Chocolate Truffle!

I succeeded when I told myself that I am only gonna eat it if it will be given to me for free! Hooray! I know, I know.. insert: kuripot! :P

Verdict: Yes, it definitely tastes good because it was made with real belgian chocolate. The filling was also good and finely made. The chocolate coating is also not your typical ice cream where all of it falls once you bite one side of the bar. It was gone in less than 10 minutes and I remember myself savoring every bite and licking and cleaning the ice cream stick. It tastes good but for me, it's still not something I will crave, and I mean, the "over-acting" craving for it -  in the future. And I think the price is also not worth it - imagine, I can already buy a value meal with its price! As they say, Magnum Ice Cream is the Social Climber's Ice Cream! nuff said!
